Park IP Translations participate in various IP related events all over the world, engaging with clients, colleagues and fellow professionals in the IP industry. Many events covered opportunities and issues experienced by those affected by the global legal and IP sector. These forums enable shared knowledge and experiences essential for planning and managing a global IP portfolio. Here are some of the key highlights from the events we participated in in 2016.
GALA ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2016 – NEW YORK, MARCH
Experts from Park IP Translations came together at the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) 2016 Annual Conference in March with others from the global language industry. The Park IP Translations team contributed to the discussion on topics related to managing content in regulated and legal industries and innovation in interpretation. Team members from Park IP were able to contribute expert insight on legal translations and managing global IP portfolios in multiple geographies.

MANAGING IP – INTERNATIONAL PATENT FORUM – LONDON, MARCH
The Annual Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) International Patent Forum took place in London March 2016. The forum
focused primarily on the pharmaceutical and medical industries, and how the unified patent impacts on the industry. Park IP Translation participated in the event as a sponsor and exhibitor. ANNUAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW CONFERENCE – BETHESDA, MARYLAND, APRIL
The annual Intellectual Property Law Conference (IPLSPRING) 2016, which took place in Bethesda, Maryland, brought together experts and professionals in IP law, providing the opportunity to network and keeping up-to-date with the latest news in the industry. As sponsor and exhibitor, Park IP Translations contributed to the discussion by sharing knowledge on trending IP topics, including the management of multilingual content for intellectual property and patent projects.
BIO INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION – SAN FRANCISCO, JUNE
The BIO International Convention 2016 took place in San Francisco, California in June. Professionals and experts in the biotechnology industry, which covers a wide range of life science areas, gathered from all over the world. The team of experts from Park IP led a series of discussions at the convention on best practices related to multilingual regulated content including patent translation, foreign filings, EP validation, brand protection, as well as detailing solutions related to E-Discovery, language automation and litigation.
14TH ANNUAL ROCKY MOUNTAIN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE – WESTMINSTER, COLARADO, JUNE
The annual Rocky Mountain Intellectual Property and Technology Institute Conference provided a forum for discussion on various areas of IP, patent, litigation and technology law. Park IP Translations discussed the value and importance of translation and interpretation in multiple legal scenarios. The team at Park IP Translations took the opportunity to share insights on expert language services for foreign filings, patent processes and prosecution, litigation and general legal activities.
AIPPI WORLD CONGRESS – MILAN, ITALY, SEPTEMBER
Park IP Translations international team of experts participated in the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) Annual World Congress in Milan, Italy. The AIPPI event provided an opportunity for anyone involved in IP to extend their network and to discuss essential IP topics. Park IP expert team shared the latest on multilingual legal issues in the global IP and patent industry at the event.
ChIPS WOMEN IN TECH, LAW AND POLICY GLOBAL SUMMIT – NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER
The ChIPs Women in Tech, Law and Policy Global Summit brought together hundreds of women in the field to discuss a range of industry topics including innovation, leadership and equality. Park IP Translations is a continued supporter and proud bronze sponsor at the ChIPs annual event.
IPO ANNUAL MEETING – NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER
The Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) Annual Meeting offers a mix of education programs, committee meetings, networking opportunities and exhibits. As an exhibitor, Park IP Translations contributed to the discussion by sharing expertise and practical advice on the importance of legal language services to overcome the inherent challenges with IP protection and risks in globalization.
AIPLA ANNUAL MEETING – WASHINGTON, OCTOBER
The AIPLA Annual Meeting in Washington, was a good opportunity for anyone involved in the industry to gather and learn about the latest developments in the IP industry. LONDON IP SUMMIT – LONDON, OCTOBER
The London IP Summit 2016 brought IP owners, experts and investors together to address key challenges and operational issues commonly faced by organisations and professionals today. Park IP Translations exhibited and shared expertise and global IP patent best practices on the important role of specialized legal language solutions. Experts from Park IP Translations also contributed to the discussion on the challenges of gaining robust intellectual property protection in multiple language markets.
IP SERVICE WORLD – MUNICH, GERMANY, NOVEMBER
Park IP Translations took part in IP Service World as sponsors, exhibitors and presenters. Matt Sekac, Senior Director of Sales Strategy at Park IP was a featured speaker as part of the IP strategy and management program. He presented “What the Service Provider Saw: Data and Analysis from America’s Leading Patent Translation Provider.” The Park IP Translations team of legal and foreign filing experts met with delegates to discuss technologies and processes for managing multilingual patent content.
